Discovering CUPNOODLES MUSEUM in Osaka

Hello, I am Nobu, a guide member of MY Travel Consulting in the Kansai region. On a recent trip nearby, I just dropped by CUPNOODELS MUSEUM in Osaka. This unique museum honors the legacy of Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant noodles, and is situated right in front of his former home.

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the museum attracts around 1 million visitors each year. One of the standout features? Admission is free! For just 500 yen, you can also participate in the popular experience of crafting your very own Cup Noodle.

I decided to give it a go, but I quickly realized that painting a cylindrical cup with markers is no easy task. It takes creativity and a good eye for design. Let’s just say my final product turned out to be… interesting!

While the museum mainly draws Japanese families, I noticed that there are still relatively few foreign visitors. It’s common to see families leaving with their transparent bags, proudly showcasing their personalized Cup Noodles as souvenirs.

If you’re ever in the area, CUPNOODELS MUSEUM is a delightful spot to explore the quirky world of instant noodles and unleash your creativity!
