I visited Mimurotoji Temple.
It was rain today.
The temple is in the northern Uji City next to Kyoto city.
It was founded about 1200 years ago.
It is famous as the “Flower Temple”, because its wide temple grounds offer large gardens of some varieties of seasonal flowers.
Visitors can view cherry blossoms here around early April, azalea around early May, hydrangea in June, lotuses around July and August, and autumn colors around late November.
The present main hall of Mimurotoji Temple was built in the early 1800s and houses the temple’s principle image of the thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva.
