Kyoto Circuit Trail Higashiyama Course (from Keage to Ginkaku-ji temple)

Ginkakuji Temple is a Zen Buddhist temple built in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), featuring a beautiful Japanese garden and extensive grounds. It is especially beautiful during the fall foliage season and attracts many tourists.

Daimonji Temple is located within walking distance from Ginkakuji Temple. A Zen Buddhist temple built in the Muromachi period (1333-1573), visitors can enjoy its garden in a quiet atmosphere. The number of tourists is small and you can spend a relaxing time here.

Tetsugaku-no-michi (Philosopher's Path) is a walking path connecting Ginkakuji Temple and Okazaki Park, which is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot. During the cherry blossom season, visitors can enjoy the beautiful rows of cherry trees. There are also cafes and souvenir shops along the path, allowing visitors to enjoy strolling in a relaxing atmosphere.
