This tour will take you to the “Japan's No. 1 IMONI Festival”, which you can eat imoni served dynamically in a large pot.

This tour will take you to the “Japan's No. 1 IMONI Festival," where you can eat imoni served dynamically in a large pot, a Guinness World Record, and spend a weekend enjoying the charms of Yamagata Prefecture in the Tohoku region.
Outside of the festival, you can also visit a shrine in Yonezawa, a place associated with Uesugi Kenshin, one of Japan's most famous military commanders, and a winery in Yamagata Prefecture, which is famous for its fruit.

This festival is held once a year, and it will be on 20th September this year(2026).

Total duration: 2 days

Day 1: Yonezawa's history, culture, brand beef, and winery

  • 9:00 Meet your guide at Tokyo Central Railway Station
    Take a bullet train to Yonezawa station
  • 12:00 Yonezawa station
  • Uesugi Hakushakutei ( lunch )
  • Uesugi Jinja Shrine
  • Takahata Winery
  • Michi-no-Eki Yonezawa
  • Local restaurant ( dinner )

Stay in Yonezawa city
Meals provided: lunch, dinner
Accommodation provided: You will stay at an accommodation in Yonezawa city, in either Japanese or Western style. Please let us know your preference.

Day 2: Visit the best IMONI-kai in Japan

  • 10:00  Visit the best IMONI-kai in Japan and enjoy the festival
    Take a bullet train back to Tokyo station
  • 17:00 finish the tour at Tokyo stationPlaces to visit: 2
